Why did I become a Travel Advisor?

I didn't realise it at the time, but my journey to becoming an independent travel advisor started long before I ever booked a customers trip.
It started in my family's living room. When I was younger, helping plan our Florida holidays was my favourite part of the entire experience. While everyone else was just excited to go somewhere with thrills, I was the one helping my mum compare flights and hotels, researching and building itineraries. I loved imagining what each day would look like - where we would go, what we would eat, and how we would all feel.
That was the moment I unknowingly fell in love with travel planning. I didn't just want to go on the trip. I wanted to design it.

Travel Has Always Meant Something Deeper to Me
Travel has a way of expanding you and changing you. It pushes you outside your comfort zone, introduces you to new cultures, and reminds you how beautifully diverse the world is.
But behind every magical moment was thoughtful planning. I realised something important: when a trip is planned well, it feels effortless. When it's not, stress can overshadow the experience.
That's when my childhood love of planning started to feel like something more purposeful.
I Truly Love the Planning Process
Some people see planning as overwhelming. I love planning.
I love researching hidden gems, comparing hotels and flights for my customers convenience, mapping out activities, and finding that perfect balance between activities and free time. It's never just about flights and accommodation for me. It's about moments and memories:
Why I Chose to Be Independent
Becoming an Independent Travel Advisor felt like the natural evolution of something I've loved for years.
Independence allows me to design travel experiences that are completely tailored. I'm not limited to one brand, one resort group, or one style of trip. I can focus entirely on what fits the customer.
Whether it's a romantic getaway, a bucket-list adventure, or a family getaway - I get to build something personal. Because that's how travel should feel.
When you book online, you're often just another customer. When you work with somebody who genuinely cares, your trip becomes a carefully designed experience.
Travel Changed Me - Now I Help It Change Others
Travel has shaped who I am. It has made me more curious about the world, more open-minded, and more confident. It has given me perspective and memories that I will carry forever.
Becoming an Independent Travel Advisor allows me to be part of that transformation for others. I get to:
Take the stress out of planning
Turn ideas into real itineraries
Help people create memories
Create experiences that feel seamless and meaningful
There's something incredibly special about knowing you helped create memories that will last a lifetime.
Looking back, it makes perfect sense. The child who loved planning family holidays just grew up and turned that passion into a part-time career.
And honestly? I wouldn't have it any other way.
Here's to carefully planned adventures, meaningful experiences and holidays that will change us in the best possible ways.
